Can the simple act of noticing the breath affect our health and sense of well-being? This lecture examines the nuances of diaphragmatic breath in relationship to the body’s innate homeostatic healing mechanisms. Jeffrey Nash has spent over 35 years exploring the practice and science of breathing, often seeing dramatic shifts in pathophysiology with clients after helping them reconnect with their diaphragmatic impulse. Weaving together principles from pulmonary physiology and holistic health, he offers a perspective on unforced diaphragmatic breathing with implications for how we view the processes of disease and healing in the context of modern medicine.
