Joel D. Howell, M.D., Ph.D. will give the John P. McGovern, M.D., Award Lecture in the Medical Humanities presentation today entitled "How Art Can Help Clinicians Practice Better Medicine."  Dr. Howell is a Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Department of History and Department of Health Management and Policy; the Victor Vaughan Collegiate Professor of History of Medicine; Director, Program in Society and Medicine; and Senior Associate Director of the RWJ Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Michigan.  His talk will be held TODAY, Tuesday, November 5, 2013, 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the amphitheater of the Ashbel Smith Building (Old Red).  A reception will follow.  No RSVP required.  If you would like further information, please contact Beverly Claussen, beclauss@utmb.edu.
